The firm (EG SWART Land Surveyors) was established in 1997 by Director, E G Swart. In 2001 he was joined by PS Janse van Rensburg.

 

From a total staff compliment of one in 1997, the firm steadily grew and today boasts a full time staff of 11. In addition a sub-branch has been formed, with two staff members, to deal exclusively with non-cadastral surveys. Regular contact is maintained with a host of Survey technicians to deal with larger projects on a contract basis. The premises and survey equipment have also evolved to compliment the growth of the firm. Currently the field equipment includes three sophisticated GPS’s and various total stations which allow surveys to be completed in a fraction of the time. Computer hardware is regularly upgraded, as is the software, which ranges from State of the Art CAD programmes to a highly specialised survey package.

 

Although the firm has grown considerably over the past 13 years, every attempt is made to maintain a personal touch. Great pride is taken in providing a professional service, with every staff member accepted as part of a team. As a result staff turnover is non-existent, which in turn provides continuity and a very stable working environment. The combined experience of the staff allows the firm to handle all aspects of surveying, as well as providing excellent client liaison. The fact that most new business comes through referrals is a testament to the quality of service provided.

EG Swart, Professional Land Surveyor PLS 998-D

Eamon Swart obtained a Baccalaeus in Land Surveying from the University of Pretoria in 1994 and shortly thereafter registered as a sectional title practitioner. With both his father and elder brother in the same field, a solid background and understanding of the profession was instilled. After qualifying with honours, a short spell in the family business, P G D Swart Land Surveyors, added valuable “hands on” experience before he branched out on his own.

 

 

PS Janse van Rensburg, Professional Land Surveyor PLS 1098-D

Stefan Janse van Rensburg obtained a Baccalaeus in Land Surveying from the University of Pretoria in 1998.  He worked at Van Hees & Smuts Land Surveyors (Krugersdorp) as student and completed his articles at Kroep & Rossouw Land Surveyors (Potchefstroom). In 2000 he worked as a professional examiner at Surveyor-General office, Pretoria and gained invaluable experience and also registered as a sectional title practitioner. He Joined EG SWART Land Surveyors in 2001 and became a partner in June 2004 when a new company SVR Land Surveyors was formed.
